silverminute acquires SA-based developer
silverminute recently announced the acquisition of Johannesburg, South Africa-based Oakwell Solutions. Oakwell is a Microsoft Gold Partner and provides Microsoft .Net development skills, specialising in delivering solutions for mobility, integration and custom development.
Oakwell was founded 8 years ago and has delivered forward-thinking solutions for medium and large corporates spanning a number of industries including transport logistics, mining, manufacturing, healthcare and financial services.
Co-founder and director of Oakwell, Roy Hobson, is excited about the future potential of the partnership; “We are looking forward to working with silverminute as we believe they have a similar vision, mindset and way of working to Oakwell. Both companies believe in providing the perfect solution on time and on budget. We also complement each other in terms of expertise and skillsets so clients can only benefit.”
silverminute director, Neil Rowatt says, “The Oakwell acquisition enables silverminute to expand into the mobile market and provides further capabilities for our international clients”.
silverminute will also be looking to integrate Oakwell’s Mobile framework into its Radix framework. More information regarding this mobile technology can be found on the mobilo site.

silverminute UK Board welcomes Graeme McKellar
Graeme McKellar has recently been appointed to the silverminute UK Board to establish a new South African business initiative. A dynamic leader with a wide array of expertise and skills, Graeme's initial experience came with his role in a large IT consultancy firm, EDS Africa, providing business development advice and solutions and consulting with key customers. He went on to specialise in financial software solutions as a Product Manager at AFA Systems before founding silverminute South Africa. Graeme also worked at Bytes Technology Group as a Divisional Manager.
